Tattoo while in DEP Program?

ok well im not currently in DEP because im waiting for a medical waiver but by the sounds of it my recruiter it should be a piece of cake getting it. Well, Since im not in dep yet i know i have at least 5 months. I went the MEPS but only until the end of the medical screening part. i did not choose my job or do anything else. Can i get a tattoo now? i already have one on the top of my back and they said it was fine and the one i want now would be covered by my uniform and isnt racial or gang related.
