Fuel problem in Honda Accord 1994 cont.?

Addendum; Before there was gas when l removed the fuel line. and when l cranked it earlier. l sopped up the spilled gas. today l cranked it and not a drop came out. The line is disconnected from the filter on the engine side. So, the filter is still in place. The line was removed after the filter, where it emits gas.Don't know how old the filter is. l never changed it. l got the car used. It has 200,000 miles on it. l may have put 10 or 20 K on it. the filter could be original. l don't know. So, the next step is to change the filter and see if it starts. Brad
